I don’t even think most of the people I know realize I have this thing, but this is worth putting into writing anyway.

I can be kind of a quiet guy. Even though you might see me being pretty rowdy with my best friends, I’m naturally very introverted. And I’m probably a little too self-aware, so I get that maybe that could make me come off as a bit standoffish at times if I don’t know you really really well.

I just want you to know that if I’ve met you, I probably like you as a person. I hope nobody ever feels like I have a problem with them for no reason or like I’m inexplicably angry with them; I’m just a shy dude and a lot of the time it takes my best friends to get me out of my shell. I know it’s odd for me to ask you not to worry about approaching me because I’m constantly worried about approaching other people myself, but I promise if you talk to me I will give you my attention and respect and I’ll be wicked happy about it because chances are I think you’re an awesome and interesting person even if I’ve rarely spoken to you before.
